CU3ER Flash Gallery – New Joomla Template Coming Soon
Late last year I discovered an awesome flash 3D gallery script called CU3ER. It’s the brainchild of Stef at Progressive Red. I contacted Stef to see if he would mind us building a template with a built in CU3ER powered gallery – and he generously agreed.
It’s on the cards folks – just as soon as we finish updating the current templates to include our new framework feature set. Stef has also been working on a new version of CU3ER that looks amazing! Check out the video preview.

Sunrise at JoomlaBear HQ (aka: the Bear Cave)
Well, a little bit of light relief in the JoomlaBear blog this morning – I awoke at dawn to see this most incredible sunrise so whipped out the camera and grabbed a shot from the deck wearing only my PJ’s.
Next we moved on to post-hibernation coffee, just what the doctor ordered…
Helped a few people out in the forum – good question here on potential Joomla caching issues, what to do when your menu active states get locked on for no apparent reason.
Uploaded another Joomla template showcase item – It’s been a huge week for our users – so many beautiful sites…. Well done all.
Just a typical Sunday morning here at Bear HQ.

Monster Energy Drink vs Vermonster
Excuse the off-topic post – this is not about Joomla! but an entirely different matter altogether. It is however about community and about people sticking together to defend what’s right and just. What it boils down to is this: a Billion dollar energy drink conglomerate called Hansen Beverage Co, has told a small Vermont Brewery they must cease and desist making one of their beers because the name of the beer, the “Vermonster”, is too similar to Monster Energy Drink, one of Hansen Beverage Co’s products. Clearly this is absolutely ridiculous – please watch the video:
Now I’m not American, I was born and bred in *New Zealand, but this matter still concerns me gravely, and I think Hansen Beverage should know that distaste for their products has spread across the globe.

- Telling people you know to stop buying Hansen Beverage products, especially Monster Energy Drink.
